Terms of Reference For the Food Security and Sustainable Development Committee:
1. The Committee for Food Security and Sustainable Development (FSSD) will be responsible to conduct oversight work on the national policies, strategies, action plans and measures to achieve the highest possible status of food security and sustainable development for Seychelles.
2. The Committee will conduct oversight mainly in the following fields:
- Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Energy
- Fisheries and the Department of Blue Economy
- Land Developments
- Foreign Affairs and Tourism
- Island Developments
3. The Committee will interface with relevant Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Non-Governmental Organizations, and the private sector nationally, regionally and internationally to achieve its purpose.
4. The Committee will propose recommendations to relevant entities mentioned in (3) above.
5. Any other duties assigned by the National Assembly
