The Honourable Gerard Bijoux was born on the 30th of May 1967, and is a resident of Anse Royale.
His career in the field of Meteorology has been underpinned by a sense of dedication and passion, and has spanned some 37 years. In 1992, he achieved a Diploma with Distinction in Meteorology from the Institute For Meteorological Training And Research (IMTR) Nairobi, Kenya. Working his way through the ranks of the Seychelles Meteorological Authority, Hon. Bijoux humbly began his work experience as a Meteorological Assistant, with his most recent position in 2022, as the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
His longstanding career and dedication to the field demonstrate a keen interest in climate change and environmental protection, which are values he holds dearly.
Hon. Bijoux is an activist, who champions for change within his community. His mandate as an Honourable Member has provided a platform to continue his advocacy for issues faced by youths, as well as empowering the next generation and fostering social cohesion.
Outside of his career, Hon. Bijoux is an active member of his Church and forms part of the Pastoral Committee of his parish.
