The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) met with Miss Seychelles 2020, Ms. Kelly-Mary Anette accompanied by Ms. Samina Morel of Beauty Empowerment Seychelles (BES) on 23rd November, 2021, in the Member’s Lounge of the National Assembly.
The purpose of the meeting was for the Caucus to offer its sincerest and most heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Anette on her historical success at the 2021 Miss Intercontinental pageant where she won the title of Miss Intercontinental Africa, a first for Seychelles. The Caucus was united in expressing thanks to Ms. Anette for her hard work and determination in representing the country.
Discussed was also Ms. Anette’s way forward, especially in regards to the Maylene’s Hope Foundation for semi-orphans and orphans, as well as the topic of climate change. Our Miss Seychelles was wholly grateful and appreciative of the WPC’s support, and likewise, the WPC further expressed their pride and reaffirmed their commitment in supporting her endeavours.
