The Media, Youth and Culture Committee (MYCC) of the National Assembly, Chaired by Hon. Wavel Woodcock, met with the Assistant Principal State Counsel of the Attorney General’s Chambers, Mr. Stefan Knights on Wednesday the 07th of July 2021 in the Member’s Lounge of the National Assembly.
The main aim of the meeting was to discuss on proposed amendments to the Penal Code regarding the repeal of criminal defamation/criminel libel and Mr. Knights also took this opportunity to address the topic of raising the age of criminal responsibility.
Members of the Committee had the chance to put forward their own views on the two points of discussion and also raised some of their concerns.
Hon. Wavel Woodcock was accompanied by other Members of the Committee, namely: The Vice-chairperson of the MYCC Hon. Philip Arissol, Hon. Kelly Samynadin, Hon. Naddy Zialor and Hon. Jany Letourdi.
