The newly accredited High Commissioner of India to Seychelles, H.E Mr. Kartik Pande paid a Courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Roger Mancienne on the morning of Tuesday 15th November 2022. The Speaker was accompanied by the Chairperson of the International Affairs Committee, Hon. Waven William.
The Speaker congratulated the newly accredited High Commissioner and commended the long Diplomatic relationship between the 2 countries, including the need to preserve it.
Mr. Pande expressed his desire to further enhance the cooperation between Seychelles and India, especially in the tourism industry. Views were also exchanged on diplomatic values and how both countries continue to manage the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Speaker wished Mr. Pande all the very best in his new role and presented him with a token on behalf of the National Assembly.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Vikram Grewal, Head of the chancery of the Indian High Commission.
