The National Assembly of Seychelles wishes to inform members of the public that the National Assembly precinct, Ile Du Port, will be closed due to a scheduled Class A Construction Project for essential re-tiling works. This project is scheduled to commence in mid-December, following the adjournment of the Assembly on Tuesday 10th December 2024, and is anticipated to last for a period of six to seven weeks. This renovation project reflects the institution’s commitment to maintaining a safe and structurally sound environment. Addressing these necessary upgrades in a timely manner is essential to preserving the long-term functionality of the National Assembly’s facilities.
During this time, the precinct will be entirely inaccessible to the public to ensure the safety of all individuals and to facilitate the smooth progression of the construction works. The National Assembly remains committed to prioritizing health and safety measures during this process, as they are critical to protecting the well-being of both staff and the public. Honourable Members of the National Assembly and Parliamentary Staff will be restricted from accessing the precinct, until deemed safe to do so. Members of the public requiring the services of the National Assembly are kindly advised to contact the relevant staff via email or mobile phone. Please note that in-person visits or calls via office landlines will not be possible during the closure.
We wish to assure the public that the operations of the Assembly will continue uninterrupted throughout this period.
