The Honorable Member, Ms Kelly Samynadin sees herself as a kind and patient person. She is a teacher by profession and considered her previous job to be a noble one. Most of her constituents still refer to her as Miss Kelly.
She grew up in the district of Anse Royale before moving on to Au Cap in her late teens. The Hononrable Member studied French and Sociology for her ‘A Levels’ and then went on to specialise in French at the National Institute of Education (NIE) and obtained her diploma in Secondary Education. Hon. Samynadin did not stop there as she went on to obtain her ‘Licence de français’ in 2019 and also followed two short courses entitled 'Teaching and learning in an international context' and 'Teaching and learning within the Swedish context ' in Sweden. She is known to excel - she passed both short courses with Distinction and came out with the Dean’s Award for the Faculty of Arts and Social Development upon her graduation.
Hon. Samynadin is currently the youngest woman parliamentarian of the 7th National Assembly Cohort. She has always been engaged in working with the youth in Seychelles, by giving them a platform to be able to voice out about the challenges in their community and discuss solutions.
She is a Member of the Media Youth and Culture Committee (MYCC), the Women's Parliamentary Caucus, the International Affairs Committee and L’Association Parlementaire de La Francophonie. Hon. Samynadin is also a Member of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) and serves on the Gender Equality, Women Advancement and Youth Development Committee.
