Hon. Doyace Porice was born on the 4th October 1963 in Kenya and moved back to the Seychelles at the age of 3 where she was raised at Baie Ste Anne Praslin. She considers herself as a proud native daughter of Praslin.
Hon. Porice has a fond appreciation for Sports and has taken part in several sports related activities in her lifetime.
She started her professional career in 1977 as a Creche helper for the Ministry of Education and in 1986 she took up the role of Animatrice for the National Youth Service (NYS). Hon. Porice also held the post of Youth Worker in 1993-1994. She further developed her professional career by being an Administrative Officer and Programme Officer for the Local Government from 1998 to 2008.
Earlier on in life Hon. Porice received an International Socio-Cultural Certificate from La Reunion and a Poverty Reduction Certificate from Hyderabad, India. She has also proudly participated in several workshops which included ; Management Training, Child Minding Training, Small Entrepreneurship Training, Leadership Training, Counselling and even participated in a Workshop with the Red Cross.
Hon. Porice has always promoted women's empowerment and as the Chairperson for LDS Women's Association, she has organised numerous educational programmes aimed at supporting women empowerment.
Since taking up politics, Hon. Porice worked as a Constituency Clerk for the MNA for St Louis from 2016-2020.
As a Proportional Member of the 7th National Assembly Cohort, she is a proud Member of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus and the Defence and Security Committee.
