The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, represented by H.E Mrs. Guo Wei made an official donation to the National Assembly who was being represented by the Speaker, Hon. Roger Mancienne in the presence of Members and Management staff of the Secretariat yesterday afternoon on Wednesday the 02nd December, 2020. This was done in an Official Ceremony in the Lobby of the Parliament.
The Ambassador expressed that she was glad to be making this donation and she also took this opportunity to congratulate all the Members for becoming Parliamentarians for the 7th Cohort. Furthermore, H.E noted that so far, she has had an excellent working relationship with several Members and has been working on a few key projects in their respective constituencies.
The Speaker, Hon. Mancienne, thanked the Ambassador for this donation that comprised of several merchandise that can be used as gifts for visiting delegates in the future. He also expressed his sincere hope and enthusiasm to having many more collaborative projects with the Embassy in the future. The Speaker noted that this donation is also a fruit of the good working relationship between the Parliament and the Embassy.
The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms Li Na - Director of the Political Section of the Embassy and the attaché of the Embassy, Ms Jessica QI.
