The National Assembly Represented at the 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Canada

A delegation from the National Assembly of Seychelles participated in one of the largest annual assembly of the Commonwealth Parliamentarians that took place between the 20th to 26th August, 2022. The 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) hosted by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Canada Region in Halifax, Canada,  was attended by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. A delegation of the Human Rights Unit from the Commonwealth Secretariat, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles, Hon. Roger Mancienne on Tuesday the 01st of February 2022. Hon. Wavel Woodcock & Hon. Churchill Gill Participate in African Regional Workshop on Trade, Security and Gender Sensitivity in Ghana

The elected Members for Grand Anse Praslin and Baie Ste Praslin, Hon. Wavel Woodcock and Hon. Churchill Gill met with other Commonwealth parliamentarians from both Africa and the UK to discuss the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that has highlighted the need for effective response strategies to public emergencies. The workshop which was held in Accra, Ghana from the 24th to the 26th January 2022, also offered valuable insights into how parliamentarians may respond effectively to future pandemics and other public emergencies.
