The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Gervais Henrie met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) Ms. Caroline Abel on the morning of Friday 31st March 2023. Ms. Abel had the honour to present a copy of the Annual Report and Financial Statements 2022 in accordance with Section 48 (2) of the Central Bank of Seychelles Act, 2004. A copy of the International Reserves Management Report 2022 was also presented.
The Governor conveyed that this report falls in line with the expectations of the 2022 fiscal year, and there was a brief discussion of the work undertaken by various financial authorities in Seychelles.
The Deputy Speaker noted the significance in making such reports available to the National Assembly for debate and discussions, which in turn will be greatly beneficial to the general public.
Hon. Henrie thanked Ms. Abel for the continuous effort and tremendous work done by CBS undertaken in ensuring informative and transparent reports are available and looks forward to future reports and meetings with the Central Bank of Seychelles.
