The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Roger Mancienne met with the Governor of the Central Bank, Ms. Caroline Abel in the presence of the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Gervais Henrie, and the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly, Ms. Alexandria Faure.
The Governor had the honor to submit The Annual report of the Central Bank of 2021 to the Speaker of the National Assembly. During the meeting, Ms. Abel explained the different approaches the Central bank had taken to face the Covid 19 situation. She also briefed about the current economic situation of the country and the importance for the Central Bank of Seychelles to work more closely with the National Assembly.
Speaker Mancienne expressed his gratitude towards the Governor and the Central Bank for making available the reports which will guide the parliament in their work and also put in perspective the financial situation of the country. Furthermore, the Reports of the Central Bank helps to enlighten the whole population about the economic situation of the country. Speaker Mancienne thanked Ms. Abel for the continuous effort and tremendous work carried out by the Central Bank and looks forward to ensuring working ties between both institutions are established.
