The elected Member for Bel Ombre, Hon. Sandy Arissol along with representatives of national parliaments from around the world, participated in the eighth session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, at the National Parliament of the Comoros. The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace held its session of its international parliament and the International Forum for Youth and Peace in Comoros from the 24th to the 26th January 2022.
In the presence of the President of the Republic of Comoros, the session discussed youth and development issues and the importance of spreading tolerance among young people and supporting their empowerment in various fields.
In a related context, the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, in cooperation with the Comoros Ministry of Youth and in the presence of the President of the Republic of the Comoros, His Excellency Azali Assoumani, held the International Youth and Peace Forum at the headquarters of the National Parliament in the Comoros, and in the presence of a number of officials, ministers, ambassadors, heads and members of federations and related organizations. The aim of the forum was to support the youth and discuss ways to enhance opportunities for their advancement in the Comoros, Africa and the world, in a way that would support development and peace efforts globally.
The forum was held in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Comoros, Azali Assoumani, His Excellency Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al – Jarwan, the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and His Excellency Mr. Moustadrane Abdou, the President of the Comorian Parliament. In his speech during the conference, President Ghazali praised the efforts of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in supporting youth, peace and development, stressing his support for the directions of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
The Members of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace mentioned the representatives of (15) fifteen countries from all over the world. The following countries are; Bosnia and Herzegovina, Comoros, Arab Republic of Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Maldives, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Seychelles, Uganda, Congo, and Croatia.
