On Saturday 28th August, the Defence and Security Committee under the Chairmanship of Hon. Clifford Andre met with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Errol Fonseca at the National Assembly. The meeting was following previous visits at NISCC and Reflex 3 building the week before and a subsequent meeting with Colonel Adeline, Lt Colonel Benoiton and Inspector Bibi where some pertinent issues were raised relating to the training, operations and security of the region, especially in the Somalian waters which needed to be discussed profoundly.
The meeting also covered the best synergies that can be put in place for the different intelligence components needed to operate more effectively.
The meeting was also attended by Hon. Francois Adelaide as Vice Chair, Hon. Sandy Arissol, Hon. Michel Roucou, Hon. Doyace Porice and Hon. Audrey Vidot.
