The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus headed by its Chairperson Hon. Regina Esparon held a meeting with Miss Seychelles, Ms. Kelly-Mary Annette this morning at the National Assembly. The chairperson of Beauty Empowerment Seychelles (BES), Ms. Stephanie Duval accompanied Ms. Annette.
The main aim of this meeting was to discuss on Ms. Annette’s project that is titled ‘Maylene’s Hope Foundation’ which she has named after her mother. Ms. Annette has announced that her Foundation is going to be launched tomorrow on Friday the 09th of July 2021 with the aim to find ways to increase the number of benefits for semi-orphans.
She further stated that her goal is to give hope to the children whose lives have been disrupted through the loss of a parent as she also has faced the loss of her mother at a very young age. Ms. Annette discussed how she wants to continue advocating the cause of orphans and semi-orphans even when her mandate as Miss Seychelles comes to an end and the next Miss Seychelles is crowned.
Other Members of the Committee were present for this meeting, notably Hon. Jany Letourdi, Hon. Kelly Samynadin, Hon. Rosie Bistoquet, Hon. Desheila Bastienne and Hon. Doyace Porice.
