The Finance and Public Accounts Committee, chaired by the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Sebastien Pillay continued its Public Hearings on the Report of the Auditor General for the year 2019 yesterday. The Hearings saw CINEA, Seychelles National Parks Authority, Department of Land, Land Waste Management Authority, Industrial Estates Authority, Department of Finance, Seychelles Revenue Commission and the Department of Defence answer questions from the Committee on certain pertinent issues regarding financial management that was raised in the Report.
The FPAC has now completed its inquiry into the Report of the Auditor General for 2019 and will be submitting a Report to the Assembly in the next Term.
The other Members of the Committee present included the Vice-Chairperson of the Committee, Hon. Terence Mondon, Hon. Sandy Arissol, Hon. Conrad Gabriel, Hon. George Romains, Hon. Richard Labrosse and Hon. Churchill Gill.
Mr. Gamini Herath, the Auditor General also attend the Hearings and assisted the Committee with necessary insights and information throughout.
