Members of the International Affairs Committee (IAC) met with Members of the Non-Governmental Organisation, Wonder Weiss on Thursday 3rd December 2020 to learn more about their revolutionary way to monitor, survey and protect the oceans & sea life across the globe.
The Chief Executive Officer of Wonder Weiss, Mr. Andry Accouche offered a presentation on the mission of the organization which included an overview of their business model, value creations and details of the project that they are currently working on. Mr. Accouche was accompanied by Ms. Marie-Reine Mahoune, Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Daniel Hugelmann, Chief Technical Officer, Ms. Monica Irimani, Chief Financial Officer and their Business consultants Mr. Peter Roselie and Mr. Chris Lespoir. The vibrant team provided the Committee with impressive solution-based objectives and the digital components that would be required in order to address certain maritime security surveillance gaps that currently exist, as well as the importance of data analysis and storage.
The chairperson of the IAC, Hon. Waven William thanked the group for their contribution and congratulated them on their innovative project and multi-stakeholder approach to seeking solutions and harnessing aspects of the Blue Economy. The Members of the IAC had the opportunity to ask Wonder Weiss pertinent questions relating to their project plans and solicited their support going forward.
