The President of the Republic of Seychelles, H.E Mr Wavel Ramkalawan, acting in accordance with Article 92 (1) of the Constitution, addressed the National Assembly this afternoon, on Tuesday 17th November 2020, at 17:00hrs.
The President was welcomed by the Speaker, Hon. Roger Mancienne, The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Gervais Henrie, the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Sebastien Pillay, the Leader of Government Business, Hon. Bernard Georges, the Clerk, Mrs. Tania Isaac and the Deputy Clerk, Ms. Alexandria Faure.
H.E. Mr. Ramkalawan took this opportunity to mention a few of the current successes of his government as well as the economic and national decisions that have already been taken. He also spoke of some of the plans that will be pursued in the near future.
The Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles, H.E Mr. Ahmed Afif, the President of the Court of Appeal, the Honourable Justice Anthony Fernando, the Honourable Chief Justice Ronny Govinden, the Cabinet of Ministers, along with the First Lady, Mrs. Linda Ramkalawan were also present for the Address.
