Mr. Amit Narang, Joint Secretary and Ms. Irina Thakur, Under Secretary, from the Ministry of External Affairs, of the Government of India, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Nicholas Prea this morning.
The Speaker who was accompanied by the Deputy Clerk, Mrs. Tania Isaac welcomed Mr. Narang and Ms. Thakur to the National Assembly.
During the meeting Speaker Prea discussed the desire to strengthen the existing bilateral relationship between the Seychelles and India. Both sides agreed that the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries is strong and they expressed the desire to develop it further.
Mr. Narang and Ms. Thakur also met with the Leader of the Opposition Hon. Wavel Ramkalawan and the Leader of Government Business, Hon. Charles De Commarmond.
Mr. Narang and Ms. Thakur were accompanied by the High Commissioner of India, H.E Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag and other officials from the High Commission of India in Seychelles.
