The main functions of the Committee on Government Assurances is to scrutinize the assurances, promises and undertakings given by The President, Ministers, Chief Executive Officers and Chairpersons of Boards from time to time on the floor of the Assembly and to: -
- Report on the extent to which such assurances have been implemented and where implemented whether such implementation has taken place within the minimum time necessary for the purpose.
- Exercise such other functions that are not covered by paragraphs (a) above which may be allocated to the Committee by the Speaker from time to time.
