Job Vacancy: Assistant Parliamentary Reporter

The National Assembly of Seychelles is seeking to recruit highly competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic candidates for the following position:


Assistant Parliamentary Reporter

As the Assistant Parliamentary Reporter, your main duties will be to:

(i)         Attend Assembly sittings as per approved Assembly schedules

(ii)        Take and transcribe verbatim reports of the proceedings of the National Assembly

(iii)       Assist with the transcribing of verbatim reports of proceedings of Parliamentary Committees


Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate in Office Management or Secretarial Studies


  • ‘O’ Levels – English and French


  • At least three years relevant work experience as a Secretary/Office Assistant


Key Requisites

  • The post holder must demonstrate the ability to work effectively without constant supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Will be required to work after normal working hours on days of Assembly sittings



The post is graded at Salary Band 3

Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.  Includes allowances
