Speaker Welcomes Newly Accredited Ambassador of Czech Republic to Seychelles

The newly accredited Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Seychelles, H.E Ambassador Pavel Mikeš, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Nicholas Prea on Wednesday morning.

Ambassador Mikeš and Speaker Prea spoke of the various areas of common interests that could be developed which includes the tourism industry, waste management and agriculture. In addition, they also discussed areas of further collaboration, especially between the two National Parliaments whereby the partnerships can be established for the exchanges of best practices and the sharing of ideas and experiences.

Speaker Prea was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ahmed Afif, the Chairperson of the International Affairs Committee, Hon. Jean-Francois Ferrari, the Clerk of the National Assembly, Ms. Jutta Alexis and the Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Mrs Tania Isaac.

Ambassador Mikeš also paid a courtesy call to the Leader of Government Business, Hon. Charles De Commarmond and the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Wavel Ramkalawan. Ambassador Mikeš was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission to the Embassy, Mr. Jaroslav Zukerstein.
