The newly accredited High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Seychelles, H.E Mr. Sheidu Omeiza Momoh met with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Nicholas Prea this morning.
The Speaker welcomed Ambassador Momoh and congratulated him as the new accredited Ambassador to Seychelles.
During the meeting both the Speaker and Ambassador Momoh discussed that although cooperation is at present limited, there is a vast array of potential for growth of collaboration between the two countries that will add value to the cooperation ties. Both the Speaker and Ambassador Momoh agreed on the existing potential to strengthen partnerships and cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries; especially for exchange missions and further collaborations as Members of the Pan African Parliament.
Ambassador Momoh expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome that he received during his visit and expressed interest in strengthening ties between the two countries.
The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Mahmud M. Lawal, Counselor in the Nigerian High Commission and Mr. Adamu I. Buhari, Second Secretary in the Nigerian High Commission. Also present for the meeting was the Clerk of the National Assembly, Ms. Jutta Alexis.
