Five Members of the National Assembly sworn in as Members of the Pan- African Parliament (PAP)

Members of the Seychelles National Assembly attends  the Pan-African Parliament’s 4th Ordinary Session of the 4th Parliament taking place  in Midrand, South Africa from the 8th to the 19th of May, 2017. Pan-African Parliament (PAP)  is the Legislative Body of the African Union. The main Objectives of the Pan- African Parliament is to promote the principles of human rights and democracy in Africa and facilitate the effective implementation of the policies and objectives of the African Union as well as  encourage good governance , transparency and accountability in member states.

The Five Seychellois Parliamentarians : Hon. Wavel Ramkalawan, Leader of the Opposition , Hon. Simon Gill, Hon. Sylvanne Lemiel, Hon. Terence Mondon and Hon. Regina Esparon  have sworn in as new Members of the Pan African Parliament (PAP). The Members designated to the continental body took oath at the Inaugural Session of the Fourth Ordinary Session of the Parliament sitting for the year.
