THIS WEEK IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
Two Ministers will attend sitting of the National Assembly next week to answer questions relating to their Ministry. Minister Adam will answer 8 questions about the Ministry for Health and also to answer an Urgent Question relating to importation of meat from Brazil. Minister Peter Larose, Minister for Finance, Trade and Economic Planning will answer a Private Notice Question by the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Wavel Ramkalawan.
In additions 3 motions have been tabled for this sitting.
Member for Les Mamelles – Hon Bernard Georges is calling the assembly that government considers a plan to encourage people building their house to construct a second unit to be rented.
The Member for Pointe La Rue – Hon. Jude Valmont is calling the Government to establish a mechanism to identify and monitor economic activity in informal sectors with the aim to developed and become prospers business.
The Leader of the Opposition – Hon Wavel Ramkalawan is calling government to address the following immediately.
- To place embargo on plot of land identified for agricultural development.
- Refund applicants who purchased agricultural land for non agricultural project.
- Review unproductive agricultural land and encourage new agricultural sector.
- Seek financial assistance to enable and support local farmers in agricultural at all level.
