THIS WEEK IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
The Minister for Environment and Energy, Prof. Rolph Payet, will be answering seven (7) questions during this week’s Sitting of the National Assembly. The questions relate to local flooding and landslides while the other concerns raised relate to the frequent power cuts at Anse Etoile; efforts to mitigate coastal erosion at Anse aux Pins and the Ministry’s plans for the Plaisance district, in relevance to its project connecting houses in Greater Victoria to the sewage system.
Additionally, one motion has been tabled for this Sitting. Hon. Pillay will call for the private sector to collaborate closely with the relevant Ministry to develop a strategic plan with the aim of boosting local agricultural production for the benefit of Seychellois consumers.
